Georgian Triangle Humane Society is proud to welcome two new appointments to the board of directors.
Tanis Popowich
Tanis was born in Saskatchewan where she grew up on the family farm with all sorts of animals from cattle and horses to bunnies, dogs, and many, many kittens.
She has travelled our country extensively following her husband’s military career. During these experiences she has acquired a considerable background in volunteer experience ranging from Western Canada to the Atlantic region.
Tanis obtained her CGA, CPA designation in 2015 and is currently employed at Collins Barrow in Collingwood. In this role she offers expertise in accounting, technical matters and general management.
Tanis resides in Wasaga Beach with her husband and fur-baby Sandi, an American Cocker Spaniel.
Alison Glussich
Alison has lived in Collingwood for 4 years. She comes from an aviation background, from which she retired upon moving here. GTHS was pivotal in helping Alison settle into the community. She adopted her beloved Husky, Reilly, from GTHS shortly after moving here. In turn, Reilly brought her to “Dogs We Love”, which she now manages! So, adopting Reilly really paved the path to other things for Alison! She has been a keen supporter of GTHS ever since.
She has three cats at home too, Casper, Sassy and Nala. You can find Alison in the “Dogs We Love” store most days, assisted by her two current Huskies, (and quality controllers!), Fionn, and Faolan, a little tripawd rescued from James Bay.”
